Valentines for Tweens

Hello all of you fellow mothers of tweens.  If your tweens are anything like mine, they might be struggling to come up with something suitable to share with their classmates on Valentine's Day.  Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing Valentines out there, both store bought and DIY.  However, when you get to be middle school age, there is a fine line between little kid cheesy and over-the-top cool.

It's important for this age group to celebrate LOVE day (although few will admit it), after all, these kids are no longer worried about "cooties", but most pre-teens I know don't want to appear to have spent much time on their classmates' favors.

Thank goodness, Paper & Strings came up with this brilliant idea for embellished breath mint favors.  They are understated with just a hint of decoration, but definitely useful for every pre-teen.  You can print out your own free printables from their website.

We purchased our breath mints in multi-packs from The Dollar Tree and printed our printables on 8 pt. glossy cardstock at Office Depot.
